About Crossroads Car Wash
Located at 711 Sans Souci Pkwy, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18706, Crossroads Car Wash operates as a self-service car wash serving Wilkes-Barre in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Wilkes-Barre, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Pennsylvania, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (570) 466-6334. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
Its Google rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 50 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Wilkes-Barre is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Wilkes-Barre is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I was very disappointed with my experience. I first used the vacuum and had to exchange my cash for quarters. Every time I put quarters into the machine, it wouldn’t start right away, so I kept adding more because I thought it wasn’t accepting them. That’s when I noticed it was charging more than it should have. When it finally worked, the vacuum only lasted a very short time, which felt overpriced. I still needed to wash my car, so I used my card at the self-service wash. The time seemed very short, and it felt like I was being charged more as I was trying to finish washing my car. For the amount I spent, I expected much better. Overall, I wasn’t satisfied with the service or the value. I won’t be coming back, and I recommend others pay close attention to the time and charges if they decide to use this car wash.

Charged my card 10$ when all I needed left was a 1$ I didn’t have in quarters. Scammers!

I give Crossroad car wash and a rating. I feel you can get a lot of cleaning done on your car for a really great price. I do not recommend a car wash with brushes it takes the clear coat of paint off your car.

WAY overpriced for service. While using wash brush, the hose came off of handle completely! I had to hold it together while trying to wash the vehicle. One other item that was sketchy was once you hear the one minute "buzzer", if you happened to wait until you had less than 30 seconds left, inserting a quarter won't even give you enough time to hear buzzer again! You could easily run out of time and have to reinsert enough money for a full wash again. Flat time for each quarter, no extra minutes no matter how much you spend. Cost $2.00 to start wash.

The addition of the handheld air dryers are a huge time saver and prevent ugly water spots. A once over with my chamois and it’s completely dry. Every time I’ve come here, everything is working as it should. **UPDATE** They’ve recently added credit/debit card readers, so no more fumbling with quarters.
